As soon as Hua Jiu’er heard Qin Hai’s words, she hurriedly got up.
He went to rummage through his suitcase and found that some valuables were still there and nothing was missing, saying, “Steal something or?”
“The USB stick.” Qin Hai Hai pointed to the flash drive that he had casually thrown on the table earlier, and he said, “The flash drive is now placed at a different angle than the one I placed before, so it should be the person who is keeping an eye on Crowe and Linda.”
“Is that so?”
Hua Jiu’er frowned and said, “I think, they’re both still pretty good.”
“So putting this equivalent of a time bomb on you?” Qin Hai asked playfully.
Hua Jiu’er sighed and said, “Perhaps it was forced?”
Qin Hai smiled and didn’t comment, but checked the room once to make sure there were no surveillance as well as bugging devices, and at that moment, Hua Jiu’er rummaged through her suitcase and pulled out a packet of medicine, which she shook in her hand and said, “I’m going to do an experiment.”
“As you wish.” Qin Hai said.
Hua Jiu’er hemmed and hawed, then went out of the room and quickly knocked on the door of the two people’s house next door, only for Crow to quickly open the door, and upon seeing Hua Jiu’er, he smiled and said, “Anna? What’s up? Do you want to come in and sit down?”
“No need to come in.” Hua Jiu’er gave a laugh, and then handed the medicine in her hand to Crow, saying, “This is the medicine I bought earlier, it’s very effective in treating watery weather, if you’re not feeling well, take one at night before you go to bed, you’re guaranteed to be refreshed the next day!”
“Yes?”
A complex look flashed in Crowe’s eyes, and then he turned out the medicine, and was soon back to normal again, saying, “Many thanks, you are really an angel.”
“Haha, your angel is Linda, so good night!”
“Good night!”
When Hua Jiu’er had gone.
Crowe closed the door, put the medicine aside, pondered for a while and said, “Linda, Anna and Orson, they’re good people, we can’t harm them.”
Linda hesitated and said, “But then, I’m afraid we will.”
“No, no, no.”
Crowe shook his head and said, “Even if an accident does occur, then we can’t put innocent couples in danger, otherwise it would be a sin we can’t clear, and isn’t that what we’re doing, to atone for our sins?”
“Okay!” Linda nodded and said, “So steal the flash drive back at night?”
“Just leave it to me!”
Crowe laughed.
And into the dead of night.
Qin Hai embraced the sleeping Hua Jiu’er, not knowing what he was thinking about, when suddenly, extremely soft sounds reached his ears. He raised his eyebrows and did not make any movements, but squinted his eyes at the balcony, just to see Crow climbing in from outside the balcony, his hands and feet were quite nimble, without any extra movements or any extra sounds, he just walked in silently.
He quickly saw the USB stick sitting next to his computer and frowned slightly before picking it up and quickly returning to his room.
“Did you get it?”
Linda was busy asking.
Crowe nodded and said, “Got it, but the flash drive was found by them.”
Linda had thought about this long ago and said, “They don’t know the password, it won’t be a problem, it’s just the presence of the Arbitration people today makes me nervous, Crowe, I’m scared.”
“It won’t be a problem.” Crowe was busy reassuring, “The Arbitration people may have just turned up by chance, our identities have not been compromised, don’t worry, darling, I’ll always be with you.”
“But, but I don’t see any hope.”
Linda said bitterly, “I’ve been struggling all these days, you know? When I close my eyes all I can see is darkness, Crowe, I can barely hold on, there’s no hope for us!”
There was a flash of hopelessness and despair in Crowe’s eyes too, but he soon picked himself up again and said, “No, my dear, there is hope for us! As long as we can get that artifact! There is hope for us!”
“But.” Linda was just about to say something.
Crowe hurriedly said, “Remember Linda, there are no buts, we’ll make it, trust me!”
Looking at her beloved with such determination, Linda felt a surge of strength come over her, she nodded and said, “Yes! I’m sure we’ll find hope!”
Crowe took Linda into his arms, his eyes growing tougher and tougher.
He just never noticed Qin Hai, who had long since appeared on the balcony.
Watching the two rest, Qin Hai returned to his room, a playful smile flashing across his face, “A divine weapon? Now that’s interesting.”
Early the next morning.
Hua Jiu’er woke up early, and after seeing Qin Hai sitting on the balcony in the sun, she walked up and wrapped her arms around Qin Hai, saying, “What are you thinking about?”
“I’m thinking about where to go today.” Qin Hai Hai laughed.
Hua Jiu’er’s eyes were smiling like a crescent moon, and she was just about to say something when a flirtatious voice came from next to her: “Getting up in the morning and showing off your love like this, you guys are trying to kill a bunch of people with acid.”
“Hey, Crow!” Hua Jiu’er said unhappily, “I can’t beat you two when it comes to showing affection! Everyone on the street is drunk from your love show!”
“Hahaha.”
Anna, you’re the best, come on, Linda has found a great breakfast place, trust me, you’ll love it.”
“Coming right up!”
Qin Hai laughed.
Crowe gave a thumbs up, and then said, “I’ll wait for you downstairs.”
After he had left.
Hua Jiu’er said, “Did they take the flash drive back?”
“Mm.” Qin Hai nodded and said, “They took it back last night, well, as you said, they were indeed not bad.”
“So yeah.” Hua Jiu’er said, “Do you want to help them out?”
“Sure!”
Unexpectedly, Qin Hai nodded his head at once and said, “Of course I want to help.”
Hua Jiu’er blinked her eyes and said incredulously, “You actually agreed? I didn’t even expect you to agree myself, I just said it in passing, am I dreaming?”
“Don’t be silly.”
Qin Hai rolled his eyes and said, “They’re not bad people, they can quickly realise the error of their actions, I appreciate this kind of people all the more.”
Just saying that, and seeing Hua Jiu’er’s eyes full of suspicion, he said, “Well, if I’m not wrong, the trouble they’ve encountered should have a strong connection with my enemies, and perhaps, the purpose is the same.”
Only then did Hua Jiu’er nodded, “That’s like you, you must not have any clue and found a clue in them, otherwise you would definitely not help.”
“It’s still you who understands me.” Qin Hai Hai pinched Hua Jiu’er’s cheeks before his gaze looked downstairs, a flash of playing with bits in his eyes.
