Mrs Lu saw that there were no freshly delivered flower bouquets and fruit baskets in the ward either, and completely believed Hai Ling’s words.
In her heart, she said: Is that boy not here to see Hai Ling? But he admitted that he was here to see Hai Ling.
But Hai Ling said she hadn’t seen him.
There was only one possibility, and that was that her son had come, but had not entered the ward.

Hai Ling spat to her sister, “I have never thought of Mr Lu’s, Mr Lu helped me that was for the sake of War Yin, but Mrs Lu thinks I have something with Mr Lu, connoting me, saying something like Mr Lu is very busy, his time is very precious, and he can make a lot of money in a minute.”
