After thinking about it, Mrs Lu decided to visit Hai Ling before visiting her friend.
With this in mind, Mrs Lu went to Hai Ling’s ward.
When the War Family bodyguards saw Mrs Lu coming over, someone went into the ward first to tell Hai Ling.
When Mrs Lu got closer, the War Family bodyguards didn’t stop her, and after helping her knock on the door, they helped her push open the door to the ward.
“Mrs Lu.”
Aunt Liang and another servant were eating in the small hall, and when they saw Mrs Lu come in, the two of them hurriedly put down their lunchboxes and got up to respectfully call out to Mrs Lu.
“You’re all eating ah, it’s fine, I just came to check on Hai Ling, you guys take your time to eat without me.”
Mrs Lu had eaten before she went out.
Aunt Liang still brought Mrs Lu into the ward.
Hai Ling had already eaten and drank enough, Yang Yang ate slowly, his mother was feeding him, while feeding him she also said to him, “Yang Yang, in the future you can’t eat so slowly, when you go to kindergarten, you all eat on your own.”
“Mum, I know.”
Seeing Mrs Lu coming, Hai Ling gave her son the bowl and let him eat by himself, she was about to get out of bed.
“Hai Ling, you still have injuries on your body, sit, sit.”
Mrs Lu rushed forward and pressed her, not allowing her to get off the ground.
She was not fond of Hai Ling being her daughter-in-law, mainly because she disliked Hai Ling’s origin as being unworthy of the Lu family, and then there was the fact that Hai Ling was divorced and had a three year old child.
Hai Ling even gave up her life to save her son, which touched Mrs Lu.
“Mrs Lu, I’m much better, I’ve long been able to get out of bed and move around freely, as long as I don’t touch the wounds, I’ll be fine.”
In those first two or three days, the wound hurt so much that she couldn’t sleep well.
These past few days have been much better.
“Mrs Lu, have you eaten?”
“I’ve eaten. I have a friend who is also hospitalised and happens to be on the same floor as you, so I stopped by to see you.” Mrs Lu explained as she looked Hai Ling up and down, her eyes finally resting on Hai Ling’s face.
In a warm voice, she said, “Seeing that your face is much better, you’re recovering well. When did the doctor say you can be discharged?”
“Another week’s stay and I can be discharged.”
Mrs Lu gave a hmmm.
“Dongming came by a while ago.”
Mrs Lu asked Hai Ling tentatively, “How long was he here before he left? I just met him leaving, he’s so busy at work”
Hai Ling was stunned, “Did Mr Lu come? I didn’t see him.”
Mrs Lu also froze, “You didn’t see him? Didn’t he come to see you?”
“I didn’t see him, isn’t Mr Lu here to visit someone else? Maybe the other person’s ward happens to be on this floor as well.” Hai Ling honestly said, “Mr Lu is so busy, he rarely comes over. Mrs Lu is sure that the person she saw was Mr Lu?”
After asking, she smiled embarrassedly, “See what I’m saying, Mr Lu is your son, it’s impossible for you to recognise the wrong person.”
Mrs Lu saw that Hai Ling didn’t seem to be lying and believed Hai Ling’s words.
Then she said, “That might be like me who came to visit a friend, I thought he came to visit you, leaving at this time means he came over before he got off work, I thought that he was so busy at work, and you recovered well, he didn’t need to come over every day, how bad it would be to delay his work.”
“His work, talk about business, every single can earn a lot of money, can not be delayed.”
Hai Ling is not stupid, she knows the meaning of Mrs Lu’s words, and said, “That’s right, Mr Lu’s time is very precious, he can make a lot of money every minute, but interpersonal relationships have to be dealt with, I think, Mr Lu will always get off work early to come to the hospital for a trip, it must be to visit a client or friend that’s important to him.”
“Mr Lu hasn’t come to my place, apart from that day when he came with Miss Yu, I haven’t seen him again.
