Wealthy Chapter 519

“One more chance for you.” My knife rested against his third finger.

“Ginger ……”

“Bang!”

He had just uttered the first sub when a sudden gunshot rang out and a bullet broke through the air, directly piercing his brain and splattering Han Kun and me with blood.

I pulled Han Kun back, both of us with our backs against the wall, and at the same time I fired a blind shot at the place where the shot rang out, but unfortunately no one screamed and the shot missed.

“It’s Jiang Ming.” I said to Han Kun, “See, if I don’t seek revenge on Jiang Ming, Jiang Ming will find me too. Uncle Han, you really underestimate this pervert, after all those years he wouldn’t let my parents go, how could he let me go now.”

Han Kun’s face was pale and he looked around, only Jiang Ming could make him look somewhat nervous, after all, Jiang Ming was his and my parents’ lifelong enemy.

“Now I wonder how many killers are here.” Han Kun said.

I roughly estimated that there were at least two more in the room, one to our right and one where we had just been standing.

But this was only a rough estimate of the location, not precise, because both of these people must have run elsewhere after attacking me for fear of being located by me, and with more hiding cover in these two places, they would definitely have moved in both directions.

The poorest of all was Liu Rong, who had been completely stunned by the scene and couldn’t even sit on the couch anymore. He fell on his butt and sat on the floor, not even having the strength to crawl, and could only watch as bullets and blades flew over his head.

Han Kun said, “Didn’t you arrest Jiang Ming, why did he pick this time to come after you?”

I felt strange too, in fact I felt strange from the moment Jiang Ming was captured.

It wasn’t like we had found evidence to pinpoint the suspect, but rather like he had deliberately exposed some irrelevant oral information to us and lured us into making the arrest.

But I couldn’t really think of a reason for him to do that. No one would send themselves to the bureau for no reason, and it wouldn’t do any good to send them in.

I couldn’t really figure it out, but a rough guess was that Jiang Ming was probably doing it to get our attention for the purpose of going dark.

We were already understaffed, and if we surrounded him for interrogation, we would have wasted a lot of manpower.

For this reason, I specifically instructed Xia Gehuai to definitely not get too attached to Jiang Ming’s affairs, and that it was best to leave it alone.

Jiang Ming is by no means the kind of person who is stupid enough to get himself into the bureau, and when things go wrong, it’s a demon.

The reason why I couldn’t try Jiang Ming was because Xia Gehuai told me that the gun trafficking case was about to go down, there was no progress, and Jiang Ming was about to be released, so we couldn’t hold him for long without new evidence.

This is strange, since he is about to be released, why doesn’t Jiang Ming just wait until he is released and then find someone to kill me, so that he can direct the actions of these killers and won’t be unable to cope with any accidents. It’s not like today is an auspicious day, so he had to pick today.

If I think of it this way, unless the killer was lying, I feel that Jiang Ming had gotten himself into the bureau for today’s a*sa*sination.

But is there any necessary connection between the two?

The longer we’re here, the more dangerous it gets.

I have no idea how many killers they have in ambush, and while we’re waiting, the killers could be surrounding us from all sides.

I was thinking this when the wall behind me seemed faintly whole, and I had thought I had heard wrong, but soon the wall behind us fell violently and a sledgehammer nearly blew into the back of my head, but luckily Han Kun and I jumped out of the way at the same time.

We dodged the hammer, but at the same time, we were exposed to the danger of sniping from the shadows.

At this point I really started to get serious and no longer felt that this was a simple game. Jiang Ming was really down for my life.

Both Han Kun and I reacted quickly, jumping out as soon as we could and rolling on the ground holding our heads at the same time.

A series of cremations with lightning, like an electric snake in the darkness, chased me and Han Kun all the way over.

Luckily our reactions were quick enough and we were lucky enough to roll to the door just as the bullet was about to hit me, and I got out of the office first, followed by Han Kun.

The security guards in the corridor hadn’t yet figured out what was going on when they heard a loud noise in the room, but presumably Ryu Rong had explained something and none of them came in to check it out.

When they saw me and Han Kun running out in disarray, they remembered that Liu Rong had told them not to let me and Han Kun run away, so they put one hand up in the shape of a blocker, cursing and telling us to get the hell back.

Han Kun and I both yelled at him, “Watch out, run.”

“Nuts, right, hurry back, you two don’t want to slip away.”

He came towards us with a torch, and after about two or three steps he straightened up a little, then even faced upwards and fell to the ground.

It all happened particularly suddenly, and even Han Kun and I were taken aback.

When he fell, a pool of sacrificial blood dripped from the cut at the back of his neck, and his nerve reflexes made him twitch in a pool of blood like a horror movie.

In fact, if he hadn’t come towards us, the knife might have landed on the heads of Han Kun and me, who ran out in a panic.

As soon as the man fell, a small, dark-skinned man with a strange grin behind him approached.

This one was a girl, very dark, looking African but with definitely Asian features, and she was dragging a large knife that didn’t match her height at all, which I reckoned was about a metre and a half long with its sheath. The knife was still stained with blood, obviously the guard’s blood.

“Hee hee Zhang Chao, and Han Kun, you’re both here, so I’m going to be rich tonight.”

The little girl narrowed her eyes and looked at me and Han Kun not as if we were two living people, but as if we were looking at two piles of banknotes.

“We both don’t hit women, so you better not push me or get yourself into trouble.”

I was telling the truth, but the little girl sounded as if I was bracing myself for bragging.

She raised the large knife that reflected the cold, cold light, her eyebrows raised heroically and the blade pointed straight at us, “Then come on, let you try my knife.”

The knife was so heavy that even a man might not be able to use it smoothly, but in her hand it whistled.

The a*sa*sin of the Dragon Mountain Sect had died earlier, and Han Kun and I intended to catch someone who knew the inside story, so we intended to catch the woman alive.

But it was clear that this woman had no intention of leaving us alive.

The wind from her blade hung over my face, and my face hurt.

She attacked and I retreated, and after a couple of rounds of this, I had figured out how strong she was and how she used her sword, so there was no point in playing with her anymore.

“Come on, you’re not out of it, are you?” Seeing her panting on her knife, I deliberately provoked her, “Don’t you feel ashamed to come out as a killer when you can’t go like that?”

“I’ll smash your mouth in!”

Enraged by me, her knife suddenly became particularly fast, hitting the nail on the head every time, and several times even Han Kun and I almost couldn’t dodge it.

This was no good, this woman was a madman, I had to find a way to restrain her.

“Ah! You go to hell!” Seeing that I was standing there and not dodging, she jumped up in an arrow sprint, then swung her knife above her head and slashed down on me head on in a mountain-opening-like formation.

It was now! I took a half step backwards to dodge her attack, then took the gun and aimed it at her forehead.

It was just enough of a half-step gap for her knife to miss me, but for my gun to rest right against the side of her head.

I laughed, “Stop fighting, I’ve won.”
