Skillful Guard Chapter 1609

Disappeared?

Qin Hai frowned.

Zuo Wei Men wouldn’t dare to joke with him.

Moreover, he had excellent eyesight, and although this dark hall was invisible to normal people, he could see clearly, and after sweeping around with the searchlight, he did not see Zuo Wei Men’s shadow at all.

“Him, where is he?”

In the midst of this unknown underground darkness, Tehisis gripped Qin Hai’s arm, worried beyond measure.

Qin Hai shook his head and said, “He’s not here.”

“He was clearly around just now.” Tehisi’s tone trembled.

Qin Hai’s face did not look too good either.

He was extremely perceptive and could detect the slightest movement of the wind, but the fact that Zaemon, a large living person, had just disappeared without a sound made him quite irritated.

“Forget it.”

Qin Hai checked around, but could not see anything, and said, “Let’s get this big hall clear first.”

Teshis now took Qin Dahai as his backbone, so naturally he had no objection.

The murals on the walls around the hall were mostly of the twelve Titan gods wandering and hiding from the gods after they had been exiled from the City of the Cloud and Sea, and there were eight in total. Qin Hai looked at them quickly, sweeping through each one with a single glance, as many of them were not too objectionable to him.

But Tychicus was very interested in the murals.

She took the searchlight and studied almost every one of them.

When she had finished looking at them, before walking over to Qin Hai, she said, “In this hall, it is almost all empty, there is not even an exit except the way it came.”

Qin Hai said, “There is an exit.”

“Where is it?”

Tychicus swept around, where was there any exit other than the stone door he had come through, all walls.

“You’ll see it after the second mural and the seventh mural overlap.” Qin Hai said.

Thais was busy looking over, this second mural was of a Titan descendant stepping into the Great Rift Valley and killing countless beasts, while the seventh was of a Titan descendant killing a huge ferocious beast, she frowned as both murals appeared in her mind at the same time, then after slowly overlapping, soon a picture of a large hall sunken in hell and surrounded by countless beasts appeared.

In the middle of the hall, the Titan clan sat in a final struggle, already in desperate straits, the exits already crowded by the tide of beasts, but apart from that, Thais in found nothing else.

She looked to Qin Hai in confusion.

He had a cold face and his right foot stepped forward, those grievances were like a giant python that kept circling within the hall, Thais was horrified, but then out of the corner of her eye she noticed that the murals on the surrounding walls had changed from dynamic to static, and a sound of killing kept coming out.

The murals were like a moving film.

A brutal fight with the beasts, a fierce war with the gods.

It really shook Teixis’ mind.

Qin Hai took another step forward and grabbed the second and seventh frescoes with both hands, only to see the two frescoes fall off the wall and then reunite in mid-air.

These beasts, and the Titan, were clearly illusory, but they were so lifelike that even a beast passed through her body, frightening her as she closed her eyes and tugged tightly on Qin Hai’s arm.

Qin Dahai, on the other hand, was calm and collected.

Looking at the illusory scenes within this great hall.

After those ten or so Titans had been defeated, they faced the countless beasts and made a decision.

The dozen of them stood in a special position, while their mouths began to chant ancient, strange and mysterious notes, a section of bizarre power constantly fluctuating in the air, and the group of beasts turned restless, their crimson eyes full of cruelty and with the slightest hint of fear.

But as that exit, an ethereal blue light struck in.

The group of beasts hissed and then lunged at the dozen or so Titan clansmen.

Boom!

There was a violent clang.

As the beasts were about to wipe out the Titans, a ball of flame ignited from the dozen or so Titans, the flames converged together and filled with endless majestic power, even if it was an illusion, Qin Hai could still feel it.

When the beasts came into contact with the flames, they began to wail, but no matter how hard they rolled, they could not extinguish the flames on their bodies, and in only a short time, the flesh and blood of the beasts had been burned away, leaving behind a ghastly skeleton.

And with a mournful scream from outside, the dozen or so Titans drank at the same time, and endless flames erupted in degrees, filling the entire hall.

A brilliant light flashed in Qin Hai’s eyes.

He turned to look at the ten or so Titan clansmen.

Only to find that those Titan clansmen had already turned into stone statues, and the flames were gradually dispersing.

Tychicus opened his eyes cautiously at this point. The illusionary war within the great hall had ended, but as the flames dissipated, the illusory skeletons of the beasts became unbelievably real, as did the dozen or so Titan stone statues.

She gulped.

Trembling, she looked towards Qin Hai.

Qin Hai Hai said, “It’s not coming out.”

Tehillim’s eyes widened, “It came out? You mean to tell me that this is another place?”

“What else do you think?” Qin Hai asked.

Thaxis said in horror, “But we obviously didn’t move.”

Qin Hai said, “What you feel is not always real, sometimes don’t trust your eyes, maybe you didn’t move at all, but yes you did leave the same place.”

A few more moments of bewilderment came into Tehisi’s frightened eyes.

Qin Hai did not explain much, but looked at the ten or so Titan stone statues.

Thais also looked over.

These stone statues were all close to three metres in height, each of them lifelike, standing in a particular orientation, but with the exact same distance between each one, their eyes looking at the exit, and even with hatred burning in them.

According to the illusion just now, they should have been transformed by those Titans.

Tahith looked at these stone statues, but his heart twisted.

Tears flowed in her eyes and she could not help but go forward, wanting to caress them gently, but Qin Hai stopped her and said in a deep voice, “Don’t move.”

Thais withdrew her hand and said, “Why am I so sad?”

Qin Dahai’s gaze was grave as he said, “As I said, you have the bloodline of the Titans, they count as your ancestors, and besides, they are still alive!”
