Martial Boss Chapter 1014

Five days have pa*sed in a flash.

On the eighth day of the fourth month, the birthday of the Buddha is celebrated, also known as Buddha’s Birthday Day.

On this day, the Buddhist monks gathered at the Great Zen Monastery to discuss a charter for the future of the Buddhist Order.

“Abbot Fang Yuan of White Horse Temple has arrived~”

“Master Dusheng of Hanshan Temple has arrived~”

“Master Shan Yin has arrived~”

——

Before the newly built mountain gate of the Great Zen Temple, the knowing monk shouted the name of the visitor, one sentence after another.

Those who could come to such an occasion were all great Buddhist monks, either abbots or masters of various temples, or reclusive Buddhist monks.

The visiting monk who had been specially arranged to welcome the guests was an expert of the True Dan realm, but even for an expert of his level, he had met no less than ten high ranking monks of unknown depth in just two hours.

Each and every one of them was far superior to Monk Zhi Zhi. The Monk was convinced of this.

Although the Buddhist sect has not developed as long as the other great sects, it has developed in a wide range of ways due to its large number of followers and the fact that its teachings are more easily accepted by the people. With a large number of followers, the Buddhist sect has accumulated a profound heritage through generations of talented people.

However, now that the sect is facing a crisis unprecedented in a thousand years, it is no longer possible to hide its heritage. The time has come for those who are either in hiding or in seclusion to come out of the world.

This time, Heart’s Edge is directly using the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss as a lure to bring in all the senior members of the Buddhist sect, but anyone who has some interest in the secret realm left behind by the Buddha is lured by this tempting bait to do their part in opening the Pure Land.

“Master Sanshan has arrived~”

The monk sang again, and suddenly felt a clear and holy Sanskrit aura filling his heart and soul, giving rise to a sense of meditation.

“Amitabha Buddha, this monk, may I ask if you are ——” the monk looked at the Buddha with the light of Brahman behind his head and asked respectfully.

Although the knowledgeable monk didn’t know who the senior was, he knew from this aura alone that he must be a powerful person beyond his reach.

“The inferior One Page Book, a hermit cultivator in the mountains, my Buddhist friend has the courtesy.”

The monk with white robes and hair raised his right hand, which was hung with white jade beads, and nodded with his palm in front of his chest.

“I dare not, I am not worthy to be addressed as such, senior, please!” The monk waved his hand in a somewhat fumbling manner and shouted, “Mountain hermit, a page of the book Jushi Dao~”

Although I didn’t know which senior, it was right that he was a Buddhist monk. Anyway, there was more than one hermit and high priest here today, and the monk was just flattered by his courtesy, but not surprised that he had not heard of the name of the One Page Book.

“Many thanks!”

One Page Book gave a completely una*suming thank-you to the informing monk and walked slowly into the mountain gate.

There was actually more than one mountain gate at Da Chan Temple, one at the foot of the mountain, one halfway up the mountain, and the last one, the temple’s main gate, was the one that Qing Yu entered at this moment.

Upon entering the gate, the building that meets the eye is full of solemn atmosphere, but lacks a kind of precipitated accumulation.

The Great Zen Temple had been destroyed once, and apart from that Great Hall at the front, the rest had been built later. It was only because of the amazing speed of construction in the martial arts world and the a*sistance of various spell formations, otherwise it would have taken years to complete the major project of rebuilding the Great Zen Temple.

Even so, the ancient temple has only been half rebuilt, and there are still many places that are still in ruins. In some corners, there are still traces of the disaster that destroyed the temple.

The midday sun shines into the newly rebuilt temple and the smell of fresh wood hits the nose. Along with this, a large pile of high-gloss light bulbs caught the eye of a page of books.

It’s so bright, these vultures’ heads ——

One Page Book found that there were very few monks with hair like himself, and everywhere he looked, there were basically light bulbs of all sizes, shaking the profound One Page Book’s eyes a little.

“That monk, I’m very pleased to meet you.”

The figure walking from the side of him was not a bald a*s after all, only that this person was dressed in white robes, loosely tied in a somewhat loose sense, with his draped hair fluttering in the wind, looking very reckless.

With a cheerful smile, he arched his hand towards One Page Book and said, “Is the monk also here alone? Why don’t you come with me?”

As he spoke, he leaned closer and said, “There are monks all around, and we who are practising with hair are a bit lonely.”

A page of the book took another glance at the brightly glowing surroundings and nodded in sympathy, “Let’s go together.”

It wasn’t that the monks were hostile to those with hair, it was just that there were so many bald heads in this place nowadays, and the few monks with hair mixed in with the group of bald heads were really a bit conspicuous.

And compared to the monks who agree to pa*s on their monk’s clothes or robes, the differently dressed monks really do feel out of place.

Although the robe worn by the one-page book was a surplice, the bright silver cloud patterned border, the draped veil with folds, the thick and distinctive, wide sleeves, the whole person had an air of understated elegance and could not really be seen as a surplice without a closer look.

“I am Shan Yin, a hermit cultivator in the mountains, dare I ask the name of the monk?” Shan Yin asked as he walked.

“I am One Page Book, also a hermit cultivator.” A page of books nodded in greeting.

“Is the curate also here for the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss that Abbot Xin Yuan spoke of?”

“Exactly,” One Page Book said leisurely, “there is no one in the world who does not yearn for the secret realm left by the Buddha.”

In fact, not only the Buddhists, but also other sects, families and even the Taoists, also have a desire for the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

It is not that they want to enter the Buddhist sect, but because it is a secret place left by the Buddha.

Even after thousands of years of time, the name of the Buddha has not faded, but has been deified by Buddhism and its followers, and is so widely celebrated that even a three-year-old child knows the name of the Buddha.

“If there were no news of the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, the inferior would not have had the heart to come here.” A page of the book smiled faintly.

“The monk has not shied away from his own interest at all. You are so liberal!” Shan Yin laughed aloud.

These words, however, drew the eyes of many people, as if they wanted to see who was so blunt and made his heart so clear.

In reality, nine out of ten of those who came here today had come for the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. After all, it is the legacy of the ancestors of the Buddhist sect, and even a great and virtuous monk who has been a lifelong worshipper of the Buddha would not dare to say that the purpose of coming here is only to worship the Buddha.

Otherwise, given the reputation of the Great Zen Temple today, it is not certain that many people would come here to be driven by it.

But selfishness is selfishness, and the only people who have said so explicitly are the two men in front of them. The crowd’s eyes lingered on them for a moment, then moved on, ignoring them.

There was no way out, they were too powerful to see their depths, so it was better not to mess with them.
